Quickpost: Good Christ the King Analysis with an "EF" encyclical, Quas Primas
Hello Everyone.
So I haven't been on here in a couple of weeks. Well I'm still alive doing other things in my work and faith life.
I am here, though, to bring to your attention a good post I received in my blogger feed. This comes from the USA, from Christopher Smith, OP at Amazing Catechists. I felt this post had the best of everything: A good ol' encyclical by a pope back when the EF was the form of the Mass in the Latin Rite, THE ONLY FORM, analysis of modern events, and good sound reflection on the Feast day in the Ordinary Form. Interesting follow up to my Last Post
So I was viewing my blog roll today on Blogger when I see this from Vox Cantoris:
Looks like someone paid me a visit last night and read my post. I honestly just put the article up there as a ``Cool!`` moment that one encounters while surfing the net for something they wanted, and got something else while searching for it.
I must say I didn't know how the Latin Mass was established in that diocese in Winnipeg. Have a gander at the link above for the insider scoop that Vox has on this.
By the way' the site that featured the article in the previous post is that of the Archdiocese of St. Catherine`s Ontario. Vox also covers that diocese as well as a central female figure to the Latin Mass in St. Catherine's who sadly is resting in peace now. That's right folks, you don't have to be a womynpryst to have a significant role to play in the life of the Church, including the EF.

Quickpost: Pigs are flying in Manitoba in St. Catherine's Diocese .... and Jesuits are Celebrating the EF????
Hello Everyone.
I haven't been active here on YCRCM in a bit, as I've been delving into my Latin Mass stuff and my work as my true identity lately.
While trying to see what tomorrow's EF calendar Sunday is to set my EF 1962 Missal to the appropriate section, I found THIS:

As I was reading this article, I COULDN'T BELIEVE THAT JESUITS WERE CELEBRATING THE EF!!!! That's right folks, the Church's favourite liberal order who gave into the "Spirit of Vatican II" for the most part, is starting to return to its roots. Really, I had to do a double take at seeing Jesuits, nevermind a Jesuit parish, become an EF only hub of the St. Catherine's diocese in Manitoba. And wow this priest gets what the appeal is to people and how its grown over time. Really this is a good read considering it was posted at the end of August this year.
The Church may be hitting on hard times institutionally speaking and is becoming more out-casted in the world, but it's starting to really become something once again liturgically, and is starting to overall, return to truly carrying out the mission of the Lord, in spreading the Good News, teaching the hard teachings of eternal salvation, and giving people a REASON and an IDENTITY, to be a Catholic and what it truly means. Enjoy the read.

If You Want To Be Catholic, Prepare to Dispose of your Family if They Aren't On Board 100%
Well, the Novus Ordo isn't exactly very nice today in it's Gospel message today:
Luke Chapter 12: 49-53:
Whoa! This is not exactly a good message. You're probably asking: What? You mean I'll fight my family? YES! that's exactly what is meant. You may be lucky to be in a "catholic" household, but today's "catholic" household can include liars, hypocrites, pro-choice, pro-euthanasia, and just plain lukewarm "c"atholics. And if you are the sad 'sucker' in the family who actually adheres to the Magisterium and actually attends weekly Mass, guaranteed your parents and siblings will not respect you unless they are of the same mindset.
And if you are an attendee of the Latin Mass/1962 Mass/EF? Be prepared even by your practicing Catholic weekly attending-relatives who have embraced the "Spirit of Vatican II" to be attacked. Eventually you might have to make a choice to either cope with the pain and suffering, or cut them off completely .... that will be up to you, but honestly why do you want to hang around with people, even your own blood relatives, if they are just obstacles and millstones to your faith and your future childrens'? That or you could try the New Evangelization stuff, but likely your relatives are too self-centered and self-serving to want to care, or they know they'll have to give up their precious lifestyle to do so, whether it involves pre-marital sex or living "below their standard" or "suffering" through that "annoying" hour once a week when they have "better things to do with their time".
As a final note, here's a Franciscan Friar (an actual real shaved head friar!)'s take on the Gospel.

This understanding must be taken in context of the whole law. In emergency situations, yes, we can fulfill Holy Day obligations, and receive certain Sacraments, at the point of death for instance. For instance, if I’m in Russia and have no other access to Mass, I can receive Communion from an Orthodox.
Unfortunately, repeating this behavior, attendance, belonging to the group, day in and day out, does not constitute an emergency. Continually behaving this way creates the schismatic mindset – that is the danger. [Yes I recognize that many are in a terrible location where the worst of Church practices must be endured, but in this case 'emergency' becomes a subjective definition as an excuse to go elsewhere - I do sympathize!! And egad, why don't liberal abuses get more attention and clarification? ]

There are many examples of stretching these allowances and creating a rule from an exception."

Quickpost: BREAKING NEWS: ANTI-SEMITE SSPX "bishop" WILLIAMSON EXPELLED!!!!
Well you couldn't say it was not going to happen. If you want to "save face" as a group as it were, you gotta get rid of the member(s) making your already bad reputation worse.
Thanks to the SSPX support site Rorate Caeli, I just found this out now:

My post a few months ago about their conditions for canonical status (and what has led me to be disgusted with the whole society, aside from losing a couple people I know to their local chapel) means that despite the shake-up, they are still going to be stubborn whiny spoiled children, kicking and screaming and saying "Rome and B16 are heretics! We are the true Roman Catholic church, and the Novus Ordo is defective/sinful!"

Quickpost: Immaturity Still Persists Amongst SSPX
I got only one word for this idiocy: FACEPALM!

When the blazes will these guys learn that they aren't going to get canonically excepted by being stubborn and full of pride? Certainly NOT with Mueller at the helm of the CDF. If they don't get their act straight, they'll never be able to help Traditional Catholics everywhere, save to bring them closer to schism with their illicit Masses. Finally, now with SP and UE, we don't need those guys for the sake of the TLM to grow in places as much as it's happening organically with diocesan parish and lay organizational efforts (e.g. Una Voce Chapters). They had better realize the door is almost shut and their need is being reduced with every act of pride and delay.
